Post by Alice »

Can't find the marriage of my gg grandparents William Henry Randle born approx 1857 in Tipton and Harriet Bevington born approx 1860 in Census of 1891 she is listed as being born in Tipton , they are on census in 1891 living in pudding bag street, and in 1901 living in Old Row , by 1911 they were living in eagle passage, harriet died on 28th dec 1911. I ahve searched all indexes and can't find a marriage.

That would mean they should be on the 1881 census together too if we can find them!

Thanks again, my William and harriet had a daughter Hannah aged 9 in 1881she could have had an older sister who died. and the census of 1891 records that both William nad Harriet were born in tipton Staffs, although I suppose that could be wrong, I,ve come to the conclusion that people told the census enumerator anything that came into their heads.
I will have a look onBMD and look at the names of Randle females born 1887 - 1882.
