James Taylor-----Wolverhampton mystery to solve....no 1

Post by Northern Lass »

I have some information in postcards on a family that I wish to find out some background on.
Can we turn detective and solve this lot.

The first one is I have this couple
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =842588868

and I think they may link to a Mr and Mrs James Taylor of Wolverhampton
The postcard is about 1900 maybe 1910
long dress on the lady
They must have run Tettenhall Post office around that time and are standing outside it

I think they have a Grandau called Phyllis that postcard looks like 1920's due to dress of phyllis

can we find out who is at Tettenhall post office in 1901 or 1911
is it a James Taylor and wife....what is her name

how does Phyllis fit in

do they link to either George Denton or his wife Dorothy Hayward

Living at Tettenhall post office is James Taylor, a gardener born 1857; his wife, Annie born 1854; 4 kids - Joseph [1879], Sarah [1880], Mary [1882] & Annie [1892]. Also in residence are a visitor, Lizzie Taron [1880] and a boarder named Charles EEvans [1881].

Possible marriage is

Dec qtr 1877 Wolverhampton
James Taylor to Annie Young

but there is one in Dudley in 1876 too, Annie Griffiths.
