Hi

Have Joseph Dimmock [born circa 1802] on the 1851 census with his second wife Ann and 4 of his kids from his first marriage [Mercy, Betsy, Ann & Lucy].

In 1841, on ancestry, there's a Joseph Dunnock with his wife Charlotte & 6 ids [including Mercy, Betsy, Ann & Louisa].

The IGI has a submitted entry for a marriage of Joseph Dimmock & Charlotte Bartram: 25th December 1823 Kingswinford, Stafford, England.

Seems to fit with me but, before I put it on BCC, I wanted to know what's the opinion out there on submitted instead of extracted?

Ok re submitted anything that is entered on BCC we need to be able to verify.
And in my book submitted is not a fact!
It may turn out to be good info but until actually verified via look up etc you cant add it in the boxes only
in the notes as a possible and add it is submitted info.

So any submitted ones always verify via certif or look up or only enter in notes
dont take as fact certainly not on the BCC tree
remember it is just what someone has entered, how do we actually know it is in the PR, how do we know their research is good?

so if you want to add for look ups please do

ps I may well add something to the homepage just to remind everyone that joins this fact too

Doug, that 1841 census looks like 'Dimmock' to me on the image, and did you notice that 2 entries earlier there is:
Samuel Dimmock 27 Coal Miner
Elizabeth Dimmock 30
Benjamin Dimmock 4
Joseph Dimmock 1
Sarah Hughs 60

There is also this death:
England & Wales, FreeBMD Death Index: 1837-1915 about Charlotte Dimmock
Year of Registration: 1843
Quarter of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec
District: Dudley (To 1912)
County: Staffordshire, Worcestershire

Some more clues, maybe:
An Ancestry tree ('Fletcher Family Tree' Owner: michealfletcher1)
has:
Joseph Dimmock
Birth 1802 Dudley, Worcestershire

Spouse 1.
Charlotte Bartlam 1806 - 1843
Marriage: 25 Dec 1823, Kingswinford, Staffordshire

Children:
Thomas Dimmock 1824 -
Mary Ann Dimmock 1833 -
Mercy Dimmock 1836 -
Betsey Dimmock 1838 -
Louisa Dimmock 1838 -
Ann Dimmock 1840 -

Spouse 2.
Ann Southall 1796 - 1862

All needs confirming, but on the 1851 census, there is a Mary A Dimmock 18 ( born 1833) boarding 3 doors away from Joseph & Ann. This could be Joseph & Charlotte's eldest daughter (see above).

1861 census
At Mushroom, Dudley
George Rowley Head 34 Miner b. Shrops., Bridgenorth
Mary Ann Rowley Wife 29 Chain Maker b. Durham, Sandgate
Mary Ann Rowley Daur 8 Scholar b. Worcs., Dudley
Clara Rowley Daur 5 Scholar b. Worcs., Dudley
Joseph Rowley Son 3 Scholar b. Worcs., Dudley
Joseph Dimmock Lodger Marr 60 Miner b. Worcs., Dudley
Ann Dimmock wife Marr 66 Miner's Wife b. Worcs., Dudley
Joseph Dimmock Grandson 10 Miner b. Worcs., Dudley

Susanna Lowns 1853 Dudley (To 1912) Staffordshire, Worcestershire
George Rowley 1853 Dudley (To 1912) Staffordshire, Worcestershire

Hi

The Samuel living a couple of doors down is, probably, Joseph's brother Samuel [born circa 1812] & his second wife Elizabeth [nee Hughes].
