We often go walking then come back by bus if we have walked far and getting tired, our local bus is very clean when it arrives at town the driver carries a brush a sweeps it out, he is also very friendly.
The last time I used a bus was in Paington about 3 years ago, but now I am about to get my bus pass, the only problem is there are no buses from Kidder town to my house after 6pm.
I catch the bus every day to work. From my village to the airport its a bus lane all the way.20 minutes from my home to my desk.Brilliant.No more traffic jams and summers i have the option to use my bike or tandem !!

Rob do you give anyone a lift on your tandem to save them time and money.
We use the Park and Ride facilities when visiting towns where it is expensive to park in town, as well as avoiding the hassle of finding a place to park.
We have used these at Worcester, Shrewsbury, Stratford-upon-Avon, Ludlow and other towns further afield. Using our passes most are entirely free, Worcester being the exeption where you pay £2-20 for the parking but bearing in mind that this is for all day, it is quite reasonable compared with parking in the city. Nowadays if ever we need to visit a busy town we check first via the Internet, to check if they have Park and Ride
Modern busses are completely different from those of my younger days. No conducter with a ticket machine and they are remarkable clean and quick. I have used one while my car was being serviced and was quite surprised how fast it went.
You're far too young to remember that Annie!! I read it in a book about people with red flags walking in front of the automobiles in case they went any faster than 5 miles per hour!!
You are kind Rob , I thought you could remember it yourself and thought how is that possible when Rob must be younger than me if you still go to work on your tendem, and i've got a pass for the bus, and I used it today.
