Nechelles, Birmingham -Kiwi connection

Post by kiwicuzzie »

 HI there - the kiwicuzzie back again. Wondring if anybody out there can help me. I am looking for my maternal Gandparents side of the family. They include the Hopetons and Jacksons. My Great Great Grandfather was John Hopeton , born Scotland , 1865- married to Flora Hopeton who later remarried and became Glass. They had several children, Hannah, Alice, Elgah, John, Flora and George. Originally living in Scotland, they moved to Court 10, 7 Bishopsgate Street, Birmingham where my Great Aunt, Hannah met her husband William Jackson. They had several children, my Grandmother being their daughter, Phyllis. My Great Grandfathers name name was William Thomas Jackson and he had a chairmaking and upholsterors business in the Crown works 45-47 :Long Acre, Nechelles, Birmingham. Has anybody out there got any photos of these areas or know of any oersin who may have information or even be remotely related in some way. Would love to know more. Even if there was a kind bod there who could put me onto the right person to be able to help.
Many thanks.
