Hi Northern Lass the Alfred Gough that connects to me is Alfred born 1891 West Bromwich , his father was Thomas Gough born 1864 West Bromwich and his mother was Sophia Johnson born 1865 Poplar Midd.

Both Alfred and his father Thomas was labourer.This is them in 1911

May I suggest Alfred Gough born circa 1858 Cookley, Worcestershire - married Lucy Hughes 1878 [registered at Kidderminster]. Living in Kiddermister 1881.Birmingham in 1891 & 1901. And in Smethwick 1911. Has a daughter Annie & one called Nelly [possibly the Eleanor Hughes Gough who was a witness at Annie's wedding]
