Facebook??

I joined facebook because of a family history group I was in folded Also my kids have it and its a fun way to stay in touch!
People joined it just stay friends to stay in touch really.
But they also have groups. I was wondering if it may be a good way to publish this forum and BCC?
Are you on face book, or what your thoughts are on it?

I keep suggesting to my children that I should join Facebook but they say that they will not let me be their friend - they are students at the moment but maybe they will be more open when they mature!!!

May be they dont want you to know what they are really doing or whAT THEIR FRIENDS ARE DOING!
My son, hes 23 nearly 24, (is he? oh goodness cant think!) has played war with me for not putting on videos and photos from yesterday, so am trying to do that now! Nice really as Steve is away so he can see us!

To answer Jo's question regarding Face Book I joined to keep in touch with my Son when he was working abroad, he is 33 this year Jo, so no worries there for you and my daughter will be 37 this year, and NO I wasn't a teenage Mom, which makes it worse But I can't see the point of Face Book, seems to me that emailing is much easier, it is all about leaving funny messages and photo's, I don't have the time or the patience. I'm on Facebook and Friends Reunited and i did upload a load of old photos on there but personally i prefer Friends.
Facebook to me is just a way of "networking".I accept people who ask me to be their "Friend"( well by declining the offer they may have a trauma ) but really they are just work colleagues or acquaintances.
My daughters are on Facebook and so are a lot of my nieces and nephews but i have misgivings about Facebook.Give me FriendsReunited every time.
I've looked for Janet Northern Lass on Friends but i can't find you!!
Pete i thought you was tee-total!! I'm sure you mentioned that once on account of religious beliefs or something!!

I'm on Facebook finally. It's a great way to keep in touch with people overseas. And an instant way of sharing photos with a group of people. You can specify exactly who you want to be able to see particular photos.

I would never use Facebook !....it's an immature site things can get to personnel......strangers! one of my granduaghters had problems and lost all details.

I don't use Facebook , a friends granddaughter was having nasy things posted about her on facebook and it made her ill , so I stick with emails.
