Old New Boy
Good afternoon Everyone
I have been researching my family tree for about fifteen years and have almost got to the stage of giving up. However I know from past experience that it is amazing how things still appear out of the woodwork and suddenly it is all 'go' again.
My main areas of interest are Worcestershire, Staffordshire and the Black Country in General. More specifically towns or villages of Pedmore, Stourbridge, Cradley, Old Hill, Walsall, Dudley, and any other towns or villages in those areas. Names covered are ALLEN, ENSELL, BRETTELL, BROOKS, HOBBINS, TIMMINS, TROMANS, KNOWLES, COX and many more besides, although are usually twigs on outlying branches.
It would be lovely to contact another researcher covering these names and places. You never know there might be something either of us is missing?
Family History is a fascinating hobby, sometimes all go, yet other times completely quiet.
I am hoping that by joining your forum, I may reintroduce some life into my research.
Best wishes and Season's Greetings
Jackienock

Hi Jackienock welcome to the forum
I think you will find a few familiar faces on this forum that you know
already
We have our own dedicated Black Country Genealogy section, just scroll down the main board and
post any queries in there for that area.
For any other areas we have the General Discussion section.
You already know about the Black Country Connections tree and I know you already
link to some in there so that is great!
Good to have you onboard

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

Thank you all for the replies and so quicklyI
I feel at home already.
Yes, I confess, I am already in contact with two of the people who have welcomed me, namely Northern Lass and Linell, so a big thank you to those I haven't met before.
