I notice that Emily's parents married in 1845 and her fathers marital status was given as Widower
This must be his 1st marriage .......see 1841 and 1851 Census
here Marriage 1840ROWLESON Isaac HITCHINS Ann Tipton, St Martin (Pepper Box) 39/1/471

here Marriage 1840ROWLESON Isaac HITCHINS Ann Tipton, St Martin (Pepper Box) 39/1/471
Two possible deaths for Ann (1)
Mary Ann Rollason 1842 West Bromwich Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire
Ann Rollason 1844 West Bromwich Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire
The second seems most likely from the name point of view but doesn't leave much time before the second wedding although he would have had a young child to look after so probably wouldn't have been able to wait very long!

I've just looked at the original for 1841 and it is very faintly written - the age for Phoebe could be 16 or 11 - the latter would fit better with the age given in 1851.
Also about the fact that she is with them so early in their marriage - she could just be on an extended stay because of the birth of baby Mary and similarly in 1851 with Ellen - and /or as we have no knowledge yet of the whereabouts of her parents they could have died leaving Ann as her guardian and Isaac effectively had to take them both on - two for the price of one!!

You might have noticed I like making up stories to try to fit the info - it gives it another dimension - I just have to remember which bits I have made up and which bits I have facts for!!

Did Elizabeth revert to maiden name? have three children out of wedlock??? Married another Lucock
She also appears to have lost 5 years between census -
Just seen Mally's post re Marriage ? so is this Isaac's wife Elizabeth with Brother-in-law William (age fits better) or Elizabeth with Brother William looking after nephews and nieces??

and since Mally has found Isaac and wife Elizabeth in 1901 presumably Mary, John and Esicior were all his sisters out of wedlock and they took John in but Mary was too much of a handful so that leaves Esicior
What is his name Isaac/Hezekiah?
