at your age you need one  or is it just to hit people with
A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

that's a very aggressive stance Peterd...if I may call you that

it is so when I start my Walking again....any day soon..I can ward off any unruly dogs
or unrequired attention from huge burly 6ft smouldering blokes

it is a necessary accessory in this day and age I fear

If you lived nearer you could have borrowed one of mine!
But see its for walking/hiking ?
I have a wooden one but my last one snapped in a garden centre so I'm a bit worried using one like that now!
Two with flowers on the kids bought me but they clink really bad
So I stick to two I got from the hospital! Not pretty, clunk but not as loud, but keep me up!
My Hubby and youngest still go walking and use sticks for hiking, one came from Aldi and the other Go Outdoors. Not sure if you have any shops like that near you?

really really old ones!
I would love to collect those
