*TBC - Archive?* Birthplace Districts
Hi ,New online,
I'm trying to trace the birthplaces of my uncles and aunts in London and on the 1911 census one is listed as being born in
Saint Georges North. This could me an entry mistake but the info was probably taken from the birth certificate
which we don't have.As the family were in the East end of London any other part of the country is unlikely.
Has anyone heard of Saint Georges north as a district being used about 1897?

Re: Birthplace Districts
St Georges seems to have been a census district in 1911. Perhaps it was divided into north and south?
What we need is a map of census districts, I'm surprised no one has made one by now
http://www.1911census.org.uk/1911districts.htm
London
1911 census districts .... Bethnal Green, Camberwell, Chelsea, City of London, Fulham, Greenwich, Hackney, Hampstead, Holborn, Islington, Kensington, Lambeth, Lewisham, Mile End Old Town, Paddington, Poplar, Shoreditch, Southwark, St George in the East, St Georges, St Giles in the Fields and St George Bloomsbury, St Marylebone, St Olave, St Pancras, Stepney, Strand, Wandsworth, Westminster, Whitechapel and Woolwich
