Obtaining birth, death and marraige cerificates.

Post by Paul-E »

In another thread I was given some info by Peterd about a possible recording of my GGGgrandads death.

TEAL WILLIAM Worcester 6c 178

I would like to obtain the death certificate to proove wether or not it is him, however when I go on-line to the Worcester Register office, county hall, Spetchley road, Worcester they require FULL NAME, DATE AND PLACE OF DEATH.

Name:WIlliam Teal
Date: 1859
Place:Would the death place given as Worcester be sufficient or would they want more detailed info?

Do the info numbers 6c 178 help in applying for certificate and how should they be used.

Appologies if this seems a dumb thread but it is my first attempt at requesting a certificate.

Paul.

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

Tried to order but the web site is asking for age at death in years. Does this age have to be correct. I'm not sure Williams DOB I think around 1818, do I need to confirm this before I am able to order or will approx age do?

If you just scroll further down the page you will see
"For all Events"
click that you know index number and add the date of death. Thats all you need. Come back if you get stuck!
