Anyone interested in the Bilston local celabs of yesteryear should
read 'Freeman's Black Country Folk' first published in 1930, This
work contains stories and sketches by John Freeman of prominent
and notorious characters from around the Bilston area. Including
Richard Harper, the old town crier..Edward Woolley(or Screw Oolley)
a well known manufacturer of screws, and many, many more.
