Found this Obituary, it gives his father as James..........
CR. S. J. SADLER DEAD. WELL-KNOWN OLD BURY PUBLIC OFFICIAL. The death has occurred at his residence at Joinings Bank, Langley, of Mr. Septimus J. Sadler, who for many years was prominent local brick manufacturer and a member of the Oldbury District Council. He was 70 years of age, and though he had been ailing for some time he was about as usual until Boxing Day. Mr. Sadler was the son of the late Mr. James Sadler, and a member of a family which has been associated with Oldbury for a very long period. He succeeded his father in carrying on the business of a brick manufacturer at the Portway Brick Works, himself directing it at all times. When the District Council superseded the old Local Board of Health, Mr. Sadler became one of the first representatives of Warley on the Oldbury Council, and retained that position until a few years ago. He was also the senior overseer for Oldbury and Warley. Mr. Sadler took an active part in social movements in the district, and was a member of the Godson Lodge and Chapter of Freemasons in the Worcester province. Representing the Birmingham Railway to the Government for an extension of the workmen's steading of the railway in order to do not of the present.
