*Archived* Stedman help please

Post by fergal_jay »

Hi I am a little stuck at finding info on a Edward stedman born 1753. he had a son John born in 1779 in Pontesbury, Shropshire but I just cant figure out where edward is from or the relatives I have traced back. Edward was married to Martha case on 19 july 1776 but have no more info on her than that. Edwards parents are edward and Mary but no info other than names.
any help would be great thanks

My info is from familysearch.org but then it may not be reliable im not sure.

My search so far starts with Henry A stedman b1896 D1959 married to Harriett E Blakemore, Henrys parents are William b1856 in Shrewsbury, Shropshire married to Elizabeth Davies b1855 in Shrewsbury. These parents are from Henrys birth certificate!

Williams parents are John Stedman b1809 in Shrewsbury D1878, married to Sarah ? b1821.

Ive got Johns parents as John b1779 in Pontesbury Shropshire married to a Margaret Smith b1782 in Shrewsbury

I then have Johns parents as Edward b1753 in ? married to a Martha Case in 1776. Dont know where or any of Marthas details. They had a daughter aswell,a Hannah in 1791
