CDROM Census Fixes
With many CDROM census' available it makes CDROM changing a real problem. Here I've noted a way of using an extra spare disk/server to store all the CDROM data on one drive and therefore no need to keep changing the CDROM every time you do a new search.
Copy the data to your census drive using such a command as:

xcopy e:\*.* /s /d /y w:\
or
Code: Select all
xcopy e:\*.* /s w:\
e: - your CDROM drive
w: - server hard disk or addition disk to store the CDROM data.
Note:files must be copied to the root of the disk, not a sub folder

1881 British Census 25 CDROM Set
Create a .REG file with the following text (between the --start-- --end- lines) - Change w:\\ to the drive/server with all your CDROM data stored on it, or edit the registry yourself, if you know how.
Then double tick to change the entry for the CDROM

C:\Program Files\LDS_CD\BRIT1851\Brit1851.ini
and change the following line to your drive/server letter
