Trying again to explain the complicated web caused by Hannah Foxall, nee Homer. I believe this Henry is actually Samuel Joseph (Henry) Foxall born: 1st April 1858 at Hill Hole, Lye and was registered by his mother, Hannah Foxall of Hill Hole, Lye on 27 April 1858, by Edward Levi, Registrar.

Both Elizabeth Foxall (daughter of Hannah and Benjamin C Foxall) and Henry Foxall are registered as lodgers on the 1861 census. Henry was adopted by Samuel Homer Foxall (1840-1904) and Jane, nee Evans (1842-1919) as he was listed as their son on the 1871 census.

Yes, that is what I am trying to say. Samuel Joseph Henry Foxall and Henry Foxall are the same person and there is only one birth certificate for Samuel Joseph Henry Foxall. Also on GRO: FOXHALL, SAMUEL JOSEPH HENRY -
GRO Reference: 1858 J Quarter in STOURBRIDGE Volume 06C Page 172.

As my 2nd great grandfather, Samuel Homer Foxall and 2nd great grandmother, Jane, nee Evans already has a son, my great uncle named Samuel (1858 - 1939) and when Samuel Joseph Henry Foxall's mother Hannah (my 3rd great, grandmother) died on 25 April 1859 from "Phthisis" pulmonary tuberculosis, he (Henry) and his elder half sister, Elizabeth (b: 1845 (baptised in Bilston)) were taken in as lodgers by my 2nd great grandparents and renamed Henry. On the 1871 census, Henry is accepted as their "son."
