on same page as George Stonely could possibly be Stonely?

That should be just Joseph Stanley. They were living next door to the Copeland family in 1881.
I cant change the original thread as its locked.

Easier said than done, been looking for them all afternoon!

Wonder if its a second marriage with age gap of children? But cant find a marriage for Joseph Stonley to a Clara

Possible to a Joseph Stonely to Clara Dunn???

15, Mount Pleasant, Tudhoe, Durham
Joseph Stonley, head, 27, Iron Puddler

All born Cradley
In same household,
Joseph Whittington, head, 32, engine fitter, Sileby(?) Leicestershire

thats 1871 census jo ?

so poss he is brother to george and uncle to silas who was living in thudoe in 1901 not a big village through the wood at the back of the estate i live on :grin:

tudhoe about 1/2 a mile as the crow flys so not far (it was on who do you think you are a couple of weeks back)
