Right have done look up for JOhn Thomas Payne who marries Doris Ellen Harper
we thought father for JOhn was a Thomas ....but on marriage it is deffo a JOhn Payne...

We thought that this was him in 1911 and it all checked out with the Jones as mother if he is nephew here

and on census in 1911 it is a John ....not John Thomas

the only thing that is a pain!! is on 1911 he is an engineer fitter....and marriage motor driver....suppose we thought linked.

on marriage father John is a road man
not the same as this one who is shopkeeper

His parents have to be John and Lucy they are in Bloomfield Street in 1911

Florrie PAYNE dau,18 Silver Nickling b.Hawne.
May PAYNE dau.9 b.Hawne.
Lily PAYNE dau.3 b.Hawne.
10 children born. 6 living. 4 died.

In 1939 he has the birth date of 20 Jun 1890

1939 John Snr is living with daughter Lily and her husband Samuel Hackett he is a retired Council labourer, so he could have been a road man when John Jr married.

Is John "Thomas" in 1911 ?

John Thomas who married Elsie is with the wrong parents he has to be the son of Thomas and Jane Jones

The John Thomas with wife Lily is correct, and they are alive in 39

I think the marriage for John and Elsie needs looking up.
