I'm looking through some old Poll Book transcriptions, and, helpfully, they don't have a list of abbreviations.
In the 'Entitlement to vote' columns, fr and rt are used.
Would I be correct in thinking that these are short for 'freehold' (i.e. owns the land) and 'rented' ?
And in the qualification columns, what do the following mean:
W Ch C
Could someone enlighten me ?
Stirrick
