Hi
I'm trying to make sense of the birth record on one of my distant ancestors - please see the attached, dated August 29th, 1790
It's from Northamptonshire, England, Church of England Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1532-1812 Pitsford Bishops Transcripts 1706-1812
The forename looks like "Ja." to me, others think its "Jas", which doesn't sound like to 1790-vintage name to me.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
