Have had a marriage lookup done for one of my ancestors and the witnesses were an Isaac and Luie Rollason. Don't know if there is any connection to my Harris family with these guys, but would like to check them out a bit further.

Have found Isaac and family on the 1881 census

Joseph William ROLLASON Head M Male 26 West Bromwich, Stafford, England Unemployed Laborer
Hannah ROLLASON Wife M Female 25 West Bromwich, Stafford, England
Ellen ROLLASON Daur U Female 6 West Bromwich, Stafford, England Scholar
Elizabeth ROLLASON Daur Female 4 West Bromwich, Stafford, England Scholar
Isaac ROLLASON Son Male 2 West Bromwich, Stafford, England
Elizabeth ROBINSON Mother In Law W Female 60 West Bromwich, Stafford, England


Also found a marriage for Isaac and Luie (Shaw) in 1897

Marriage for parents Joseph and Hannah (Dickinson) in 1874


BUT.... here is the big question. In 1881 it shows Elizabeth Robinson Mother in Law living with them, yet Hannah's surname at marriage was Dickinson :?

Soooooooo can anyone find any of these people on a later census at all?

Ok look that family is good for that census info.

now you need to add look up for that Isaac and Lucy see if father is Joseph.

we can archive this then pending look up
and we can run with the other bit for this family on the other thread

ie Hannah Dickenson
so Elizabeths info can be added and I will copy that across

Ok this is a good one to run with Nutsy

but we now need to work on the other post Hannah Dickenson and Joseph Rollason

this thread needs a marriage look up see if Issac has father Joseph who married Lucy which it should have..hoping
as the other Isaac is with a John in 1901...but as a lodger so not sure who his father is

think that is correct
or Have i lost it :shock:
