Mmmm....just sitting here, minding my own business and eating a Toffee Apple, haven't had one for 50 yrs!

A good job we still have our own dentures San !! I loved a toffee apple when i was a kid.An old woman in the next street Granny Hall used to make them but to be honest even though i have my own teeth i wouldn't fancy it now. I never eat toffees due to the risk of fillings dropping out.

Too true Rob! Yes I loved them too but at our age we have to be careful don't we? I didn't dare bite into it so I licked it for about 10 mins and then it went in the bin!! :lol:

The bonfire toffee we got where I lived when I was a kid (Ashby de la Zouch) area was quite brittle. Almost transparent and broke into shards. I've had other bonfire toffee that was just like normal toffee only darker.
