ARC....Hincher Burial Mistake?

Post by jac »

This one has bugged me for a few years..I have Sarah Hincher marrying John Vickers in 1838 All Sts Sedgley(have marriage cert) names her father George occup.collier

Baptism Sarah Incher 20 sept 1818 Parents George + Sarah - St Thomas
Death 18 aug 1819

George Incher dth.28 april 1818-St Thomas

I think this is Geo's widow -Marriage 18 nov 1821 St Mary's Kingswinford -Sarah Hincher +John Stanton
Marriage 18 jan 1830 St Thomas Dudley Sarah Stanton + William Wakelam

1841 census Dixons Green Dudley H0107/1196 Bk14 folio27 page12
John Vickers 20 puddler
Sary 20
George 2 (Dec qtr 1839 Dudley moths maid name Incher)
next door
William + Sary Wakelam

I have all info from 1841 onwards

Re.George Hincher(snr) Baptism 31 june 1790 St Thomas-Parents William + Sarah---possibly connects to Enoch Incher (B.C.connections) Enoch Incher 16 oct 1791-William + Sarah

Poss.marriage: George Incher + Sarah Smith 22july 1811 St Martins Tipton.

I've looked for a bapt.for a Sarah Stanton...thinking...well you know! but nothing.

Sorry to have confused you...re-reading my post...I do seem to have rambled on!
My problem is with Sarah Hincher who married John Vickers..her marriage cert.names her father as George..and the only bapt.I can find at Dudley that fits, is 20th Sept 1818...but also a burial 18 Aug 1819.
Who I take to be her mother (Sarah Hincher wife of George) marries twice after Geo's death.. 2nd marr.to Stanton...3rd marr.to Wakelam.
Now it seems a bit strange to me that in 1841 census, Sarah Vickers(Hincher) is living next door to Sarah Wakelam(Hincher,Stanton) I'm sure this must be her mother.

The L.D.S site has the bapt + burial listed together.
