Hi,
I've decided to do some more research into Elizabeth Westwood who may or may not have been my 5th Great Grandmother.
I know that she married a William Toy 10th April 1786, and strongly suspect they had a child William Toy b 1788

Now I understand there wasn't enough to suggest a concrete link, but I want to try and see if I can make it concrete.
So I believe I have found a christening/baptism/birth date - just to perhaps to give it more facts.
I searched for Elizabeth Westwood, and the only one I found who was born in the Halesowen area was this young lady.
9 Apr 1769 - Halesowen, Worcester
Which would have made her 17 when she married William in 1786, actually just turned 17.
I also have a christening for William Toy in Halesowen
18 July 1768 - Halesowen, Worcester
Which would have made him 17 when married, so the age difference between the 2 is similar. Young love?
I find the date that Elizabeth was baptised and married very interesting, was there a law back then that you had to be 17 to get married?
This may well be something and nothing, but it could give me some more facts to perhaps track a death, which may give me more information.
