Hi

I'm a descendant of the Farley line.

I have a copy of the marriage entry for William Farley from the Parish Register.

1852, Marriage solemnized at The Parish Church in the Parish of Hales Owen

Fanny SHARRETT, aged 18, Spinster, Nailer, Hasbury, Henry SHARRETT, Nailer, x mark of Fanny Sharrett

Witnesses: Thomas Brettell and x mark of Elizabeth Brettell.

I noticed that you only record her as Fanny Farley on BCC.

I have other info on the Farley line, but want to look at the census records to make sure that my file is fully uptodate and including the 1911 census.

Can someone with access please update the file.

Fanny Sherratt's parents were Henry born Hawne 1807 and Ann White born 1813 daughter of Richard White and Martha Cole. Henry's parents were John Sherratt and Mary.

Samuel Farley, son of William and Fanny is recorded as being born in 1861.

From the previous entries on this post/topic, the 1861 census records:

1861: Spring Hill, Hasbury, Worc

Fanny Farley 25 Wife Nailer
Samuel Farley 9 Son
William Farley 7 Son
Mary A Farley 5 Dau
Jane Farley 3 Son

This would indicate that Samuel was born in 1852 and his brother William being born 1854.

There is a marriage for a Samuel Farley on the IGI:

Marriages:
Spouse: ELIZABETH HAYES
Marriage: 26 JUN 1872 Halesowen, Worcester, England

Husband Age at Marriage: 20
Wife Age at Marriage: 19

This ties in with the IGI and the marriage indexes, unfortunately there is no entry on UKBMD.

However, the 1901 census records the father in law as HAYES, which ties in with the marriage details.

My Dad used to tell me that my Farley ancestors came from Wall Well.
