ARC TBC...............Greenbank Dingley ?

Post by apowell »

Hi,

I noticed from the Black country connections that other people claim descent to the two Dingleys William born abt 1755 and Robert born abt 1749. It seems all the Dingleys who originated from the Halesowen/Rowley Regis area claim descent from these two but no confirmed information has been found on William and Robert. There is some suggestion that they came from Warwickshire but I found this on findmypast which seemed odd:

Halesowen
St John Baptist church
Greenbank Dingley
buried: 24th Sep 1746

What a strange first name and no source is given for the above could it be a mistake but I did search further finding this:

source: Findmypast (Northamptonshire Family History Society)

Cold Ashby, Northamptonshire
Parish church
5 Oct 1755 (Banns)
Greenbank Dingley & Sarah Clarke

I know this can't be the same Greenbank who was buried in Halesowen but could this be a family connection somehow.

Is it possible to check the details Greenbank Dingley buried 24th Sep 1746, Halesowen is correct.

Regards
Adrian
