"Complete"Beasley Puzzle

Post by mumbles »

This web site
http://www.cradleylinks.co.uk/hayseech.htm
Has considerable detail of Beasley Family
Noting :- Brothers Joseph Beasley who married Ann Auden in 1838 and Benjamin Beasley and brother.in.law William Farmer who married their sister Frances Beasley went into business at Hayseech making Gun Barrels.
Also noted that they had a sister Elizabeth Beasley who married a William Robinson and a sister Mary Beasley who married Joseph Edge. ( both these sisters are on bcc but not connected to other siblings
What does not add up is statement in article " The Edges raised their family at Hayseech and by 1841 five sons and a daughter all worked at the mill. Mary's eldest son Joseph was a glass grinder and he lived next door to his grandmother Ann Beasley, who stayed with William and Frances Farmer. "
This means that mother of siblings was a Ann Unknown so who was father.
I have found Joseph Beasley who married Ann Eliza Auden and they appear to be parents of James Griffin Beasley first Medical Health Officer of RR
but cannot find him in 1851 ?

I think I may have missed a generation of Beasley family

1861. Dobbs Bank, Siviters Lane? Rowley Regis.
Joseph Beasley, head, 60, Ironmaster, Cradley
Ann Eliza, wife, 60, Rowley Regis
James G, grandson,14, Smethwick
Mary Marsh, sister in law, w, 74, Rowley Regis
John Adams?, son, 18, nailer, Rowley Regis
Ellen Adams?, daur, 10, Rowley Regis

James Griffin Beasley appears to be grandson and not son of Joseph Beasley and Ann Eliza
