Well , I thought their was a bit of nagging going on ,the first wife should have helped him sort it out .I thought they kept their money separate, which I don't agree with in marriage , but he obviously had a problem, because he needed to buy stuff to keep him on a high.I find it odd that a person in such a caring profession could do what he did , but having said that there was Nurse Beverly Allitt . With the second wife,it was a case of " I done it once, and got away with it so I can do it again".He runs away from his problems ,and responsibilities, finds it easier to kill his wives rather than facing what is going on his life . Should have seen the psychiatrist

We first meet Webster on the first of what are set to become serial wedding days, tying the knot with the unsuspecting Claire (Sheridan Smith). They met at work, both nurses, and all looks set fair. But the honeymoon wanes as his profligate spending turns her into a nag and him into a resentful cuckold. A cuckold with access to the hospital drugs cabinet. From METRO

It really annoys me when women that try and make their lives better by ASKING their partners to account for such
and such are seen as a nag..........wot tosh!!
It's called asking questions.

This guy is almost being seen as a tragic charactor instead of the evil one he really is.

Going to be good this series to see how it all develops

In reality members of caring proffessions are no more or less likely to have problems than anyone else - we have just as many alcoholics, drug addicts etc etc as anyone else. And looking at my collegues, I'm not suprised (not that I'm aware of anyone with such problems at the moment), we are so different from each other - being in a more technical proffession within the hospital there is a higher proportion of men. That aside we have bossy types, quiet and caring types, and everything in between.
