Please can someone give me some advice regarding The above family's Irish Ancestors,
Where would I start looking as family members don't know where in Ireland they were born or lived before coming to the Midlands.
Family also believe their records have either been lost or buildings with records have been burned down in Ireland

Hi

This family is on the 1881 Census at 19 Castle Street, Tipton, Staffordshire but they are listed as Thorton.
The birthplace of James is given as Meath, Ireland and the birthplace of Martha is given as Dublin.
This might help to narrow things down.

I Give Up, feeling frustrated and breath!!!
Armed with more info on above family i thought I'd access free Irish records on ancestry

Rubbish I can't find anything :-(
