Jacobite Rebellion 1688-1746
The Jacobite Risings were a series of uprisings, rebellions, and wars in Great Britain and Ireland occurring between 1688 and 1746. The uprisings were aimed at returning James VII of Scotland and II of England to the throne. The series of conflicts takes its name from Jacobitism, from Jacobus, the Latin form of James.

The Battle of Culloden (Scottish Gaelic: Blàr Chùil Lodair)
16 April 1746
British Army commanded by Duke Of Cumberland defeats Jacobite Army commanded by Bonnie Prince Charlie .
Jacobite wounded were executed on the battlefield under the direct orders of the Duke Of Cumberland and also his brutal crackdown on suspected Jacobites after the Battle earned him the nickname 'The Butcher'. The last battle fought on British soil.
The War of the Spanish Succession (1701–1714)
fought between two alliances of European powers, including a divided Spain, over who had the right to succeed Charles II as king of Spain. It ended with the Peace of Utrecht (1713) with Britain gaining Gibraltar and Minorca from Spain.

Battle of Oudenarde
11th July 1708
Allied Army commanded by British General Marlborough defeats French-Bavarian Army commanded by the French Duke of Burgundy and Marshal Vendome.
Battle of Malplaquet
11th September 1709
Allied Army commanded by British General Marlborough and Prince Eugene of Savoy defeats French-Bavarian Army commanded by Marshall Villars.
War of the Austrian Succession (or King George's War) 1740-1748
The cause of the War was a dispute between Prussia and Austria, the seat of Hapsburg Empire. The emperor of Austria had died without a son, and so left his kingdom in the hands of his daughter Maria Theresa. Frederick II of Prussia saw this as an opportunity, and invaded Silesia. Because of complicated pre-existing alliances, nearly every state in Europe was involved. In particular, France and Britain eagerly jumped into the fray, less to help their respective allies, than to fight each other for dominance in their American and Asian Colonies.

French Army commanded by Marshal Saxe defeats British, Dutch and Austrian Army commanded by Duke of Cumberland.
Seven Years' War 1754–1763
The Seven Years' War was a world war that took place between 1754 and 1763 with the main conflict being in the seven-year period 1756–1763. It involved most of the great powers of the time and affected Europe, North America, Central America, the West African coast and India.
