on 1871 Census Rob has :-

1) Ann Maria aged 19 ( original has Maria)
2) Ann's age as 69 ( Could be 60 or 69 on original)
3) Ann's age on previous Census records is 1861 49 , 1851 38 ,1841 25 ( Always younger than Richard)
4) Ann Maria marrying a George Pinnell in 1871 ( Richard Woodward shown as father)

But I have found :-

Note children cannot be Ann's but are probably Maria's out of wedlock

Note the name Pennels

Could it be that Richard and Ann had an Ann Maria and a Maria because something is wrong

hmmmm it is odd

could she not be an Ann Maria and use name Ann and Maria ?

cos if 2 where are they both on census?

did she maybe leave husband?

The Maria Woodward who is variously shown as single or widow with children must be right one as her sister Hannah lives with her in 1891 and 1901

but marriage to George Pinnell looks correct reference father on marriage record ?

Marriage of daughter Hannah to John Jarvis might help or not as someone on Ancestry has date 28/9/1900 but no father of Hannah

and that ann maria is ann Woodward on marriage to George Pinnell.

I have added in the 1871 census but could do with someone adding kids for that family if they have a moment?

I tried finding fathers Samuel Woodward and James Woodward and they do not seem to to exist which probably proves the theory

Have added all Woodward and Jarvis details and now chasing up Jarvis and Finch and others
Have not added Pinnell details
