Re: Happy "Jesus is a zombie!" holiday
I've hivered and hovered about whether or not to react to this post of yours Marky.
Shall i ignore it? Yeah just do that. Then i thought no i'll react.
I'm all for free speech and i hate censorship and i can see the joke in "Jesus is a zombie" but as a person who believes in God and the teachings of Jesus i do find it,not offensive cos i couldnt give a jot what other people say,but sad.
Sad because the kid in the photo will probably never have the chance to make his own mind up about religion.

Re: Happy "Jesus is a zombie!" holiday
Most kids do not have a chance to make up their mind about religion.
Their parents religion, denomination and prejudices are forced upon them before they can even talk.
Abuse, such as circumcisions, are performed before the child has any say in the matter.
They are taught prejudices which vary according to the religion.
They can be taught to hate homosexuals, fear their own sexuality, despise other religions and fear their own God.
If I had the power I would ban all religious instruction at school unless it covered all of the major religions.
When my family gets together we have Atheists, Catholics, Anglicans, Buddhist, Jehovahs and Wickans sitting and talking together without what we worship getting in the way.
Many of the adults changed their religion later in life to what they practice today.
It is the fact that their parents religion was forced upon them that made them turn from it.
They are more comfortable practicing a religion or denomination they chose.

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

I use that with Banoffee pie it makes a great caramel topping if you heat it for
2 hours in a saucepan in the tin.

We're celebrating Greek Easter a tad early on Sunday. The only time we could all get together - not as good as the real thing but loads of Greek goodies to eat and lashings of ginger beer - no sorry, that would be lashings of wine
