While browsing today came across this site which I know we use occasionally
http://www.bmsgh-shop.org.uk/index.php? ... ry&path=77

Just wondered
Has anyone purchased anything from these or been on trips to national Archives London

Noticed they have a clearance section too, not sure if there's any bargains

I've had loads of stuff from them mjay. Good value

I have been on a trip to the National Archives, but I went with Friends of Dudley Archives. It was good, but you do need to plan what you are looking for before you go.

Yes me too, have bought Parish Registers on CD & Fiche from Bmsgh. Do you mean The Record Office at Kew Mjay? I went before they moved there when they were at Islington, it's brilliant you can search all the BMD's. Maybe we should organise a trip down there in the summer. Linell.

Did you know?

Birth, marriage and death certificates cannot be viewed or ordered at The National Archives. :( :(

What records can I find at The National Archives at Kew?

The National Archives does not hold birth, marriage or death certificates or any parish baptism, marriage or burial records.

Hi RF 10 years ago all the BMD's were at Middleton near Liverpool Street, huge ledgers where you could search all BMD,s. The Building closed and moved to Kew I was told, I presumrd they were still there? I went a few times, you filled out a form for the certs you wanted & they were posted to you within a week. Will have to find out where they are now?

Looks like the Ledgers are not available anymore, are now in a closed archive in Christchurch Dorset:-

Shame it was a good resource!
