New Aussie member

Post by beartalbot »

Hi, I am a new member to this genealogy forum from Australia, who is hoping to extend my knowledge of my English grandparents who emigrated from the Black Country area of West Midlands to Australia after WW1. My Grandfather, Walter Talbot from West Bromwich married Annie Giles from Oldbury in 1919 at West Bromwich after he returned from the Great War. I am hoping to learn more about the large families they both left behind, as well as researching my Grandfathers service records.

Thanks everyone for your warm welcome and early leads. I'm looking forward to using all sections of Genealogy UK site to learn as much as I can about my Grandparents early life. Thanks again. :P
