WESSONJesseHOWSESarahWest Bromwich, All SaintsSandwell Register Office22/8/112 1858

Sparkstopper has :-

http://www.bcconnections.tribalpages.co ... =852233542

and on 1871 Census family have a visitor who is Eliza Howes who married a Joseph Green in Rotherham 1866
( Joseph and Eliza are on bcc http://www.bcconnections.tribalpages.co ... =456740596)

Therefore I think marriage is correct

While working on this I came across a difference between Ancestry and Findmypast

Mary Howse widow of Benjamin Howes married William Fletcher ( lodger with Howes family in 1861)
Married Christ Church Oldbury 1859

on Ancestry Transcription and Original
1861 Census Old Church Tavern Upper Church Lane Tipton Staffs.
William Fletcher Head 49 Miner & Victualler born Shropshire
Mary Fletcher wife 54 born Shropshire
Mary Fletcher dau 17 House Servant
John Fletcher son 21 Forgeman
John Howse son.in.law Forgeman
Benjamin Howse son.in.law Forgeman
Rest born Tipton Staffs.

but on Findmy past transcription and original
1861 Census Upper Church Lane Tipton Staffs.
John Whittle Head 68 Labourer
Ann Whittle wife 55
Mary Fletcher dau 17 House Servant
John Fletcher son 21 Forgeman
John Howse son.in.law Forgeman
Benjamin Howse son.in.law Forgeman
ALL born Tipton Staffs.

I have seen errors before but never this

Perhaps they spent so much time in 'The Old Church Tavern'
the landlord decided to include them in his census details??????? 8)
