ARC................John Thomas Hill

Post by blackcountrybiker »

I found some more information on my great Uncle Tom from Old Hill. http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... ill-Family

He definitely was born John Thomas Hill - 15 july 1901, Church Road, Netherton. Birth was registered on August 21st 1901. DUD/235/429 Mother Matilda Hill formerly Hodgkiss (spelt Hotchkiss), father William Hill General Labourer. Matilda was the informant. His death was 1981 in Old Hill - (Sandwell; Apr/May/Jun 1981; Vol 33; pg 1003) - which ties in with last time I remember seeing him. I went away to University in 1981.

Now I know this information I've ordered a marriage certificate for a wedding to Doris May Evans in 1928 as suggested previously, which will confirm one of the previous theories that was brought up on here a few months ago viewtopic.php?f=31&t=14292&p=157751&hilit=+old+hill+#p157751

Thanks to MarkCDodd for putting me on the trail of my Uncle Tom :-)
