I have a 1901 Map of Dudley, From what i can see there was a chapel off King St,and New Mill Street ,with a school just behind. It looks like it was a Methodist chapel. I would be very interested in what you find out Pete as my g grandfather and grandfather lived in Abberley st which is close by Dt

I'll try to have a look next time I'm in town Pete (possibly this afternoon).
The gravestones were transcribed by the BMSGH years ago, I helped to do it, but can't remember how we got in!

Have just driven past - there is a door opposite the Foundry (well, a big piece of hinged plywood), but it is padlocked. Could not see any other way in.

See the post about 2 above - I helped do the transcription of the MIs about 25 years ago for the BMSGH: were they ever published?

LOL I presume the 'living there' was before our time Steve, the notes I read, can't remember where I found them, Google I would think, made it sound all very grand. :-) Linell.
