Dorcas meadows 1820-1905

Post by mjay »

Following on from this
viewtopic.php?f=27&t=8203

We know Dorcas meadows married Thomas Hooper, then remarried a John Lake 11-1-1873

We also know she was running Prince Alfred Tavern at the age of 81 in 1901
We think she may have died in 1905

Can anyone help me find this pub that was on great Tindal St Birmingham or point me in the right direction as to where to start looking.

Thanx :-)
Please move if I put in wrong section

If you look at the Links section on here Mjay there is a Link for Public Houses and Trade Directories, have a search on those sites, otherwise Birmingham Library should have some records of the Prince Alfred. HTH Linell.

Have a look at the other properties around it on the census and the description on the first page of that section you may find other local streets that still exist.
Currently investigating the Hillmans of Sussex.
