Hi Maggie, I know you showed me the record yesterday, just wondered if it should have been 'Singer' yes it did look like 'Sinner' but seems an odd thing to list under Occupation, and as we know some of the writing can be very sloppy at times? Found a bit on your Aaron from a book I have on Halesowen, says "In 1825 Thomas Edge purchased 32 Hagley Street, along with his partner Aaron Rose they ran a Gun Barrel Manufacturing Business at the former Slitting Mill at the bottom of Mucklow's Hill." Thomas Edge died in 1841, think he is in your tree?

Thomas and Mary Edge are the parents of Mary Edge who married William Rose, born 1820, son of Aaron and Elizabeth Rose.

1851 Census, William and Mary are living in Birch House, The Hill, Halesowen, with Mary's mother Mary, who is a proprietor of houses.

In 1841 Mary is with her parents Thomas and Mary Edge Thomas's occupation is Gun Barrel M....? - not very clear, but could be manufacturer.

Knew you had an Edge connection, yes the Gun Barrel Business was at the bottom of Mucklow's Hill later called the National Tube Company, I knew a family, Plant, who all worked there. Found some more info on Thomas, this page says he died in 1848, and the Business was then taken over by your Rose family, who built a large house at The Mount, off Bromsgrove Street over looking the works.

Shouldn't is say Moses, caretaker of the 10 deadly sins?
