Joseph Dobson
Can somebody help me with this member of my family. His name was Joseph Dobson he was born around about 1823. If you can tell me where I can find his birth certificate, I would be very grateful.

Civil registration didn't start until 1837, so there won't be a birth certificate as such to track down. He will probably appear in local parish records for the area which he was born in though.
Most regional Records Offices keep copies, microfilms or transcripts of records for their region. You may also find him in the International Genealogical Index, Pedigree Resource File or Ancestral File - all of which can be searched via the LDS Familysearch website.
