There are no flood warnings by me thank god at least not yet . Tewkesbury and Worcester are on alert .it will depend on what comes down from the north and Wales. I am going into Malvern this morning to see my daughter ,will see what its like when I cross the bridge at Powick.

Re: Flood Warnings
Well I got to Malvern and back again. I have seen the river alot worse. Like when we were stuck on the motorway all night waiting for the the rivers to go down, so we could get to Tewkesbury to get off the M5, and when we lived right on the river in Evesham and the river came up over 15 feet , flooded the ground floor which was the garage ,and next door was swimming in the water trying to close her garage door!. The helicopters overhead working all night to rescue people from their caravans and the sound of crashing boats and debris against Workmans bridge. I just hope I never see or hear it again
Some nice blokes about offering to get me out the house

Hope you stay dry!
Goodness the weather has caused so many problems!
Somethings need to change but will be all at a cost.

yeh like better and bigger and new drains instead of sticking new housing site on old drains that cannot take the extra water

Re: Flood Warnings
Dredging the rivers, and clearing blocked drains would help, in Kidderminster there as been grass growing in the drains.

Re: Flood Warnings
Driving up to my mom's on Monday and had to drive through a Fjorde in Oldbury. Just down from Birchley Island before the Whimsey Bridge there was a council van stopping everyone from driving in the inside lane, which was even deeper, I had to drive through water which actually came into the car. Really don't know why they didn't get the traffic to turn around a bit further up the road. By lunchtime Oldbury was gridlocked from everywhere. Put this one down to bad drainage. My mom lives on the top of Oakham, by the BT mast, we all need to worry if she ever gets flooded.
There's no place like home ......

Re: Flood Warnings
The weather is affecting everywhere now. It is a big worry . We have a drain outside our cottage, when it rains the water will not drain away and covers the road.We complained to the council They did send a lorry and some men to clean it out ,and they did try ,but they found broken pipes. They took photos and said they have reported it to the council, but he had no idea when it would get sorted. That was months ago.On Monday going into Pershore we saw the same men doing the same thing working on a drain directing the traffic due to a small flood. When we came back an hour later the men were gone but the flood was still there.
