Hi,

I think I've cracked a brickwall in my family tree and also I hope given us more family names to add to the Black Country connections  but first I would like your input.

The forum kindly helped me with my ancestors William Hadley who married Harriet Hall (15th Sep 1856 St Thomas, Dudley) but we couldn't find any suitable marriage for Harriet's parents William & Susannah.

This I hope will make sense:

Willam Hall born abt 1782 married first Kitty Sadler 5th Nov 1800 St Martins, Birmingham

Their children were Bapts':
Halesowen,"‹ Salop,"‹ England

Joseph Hall
birth:
07 Nov 1800
christening:
25 Mar 1803
parents:
William Hall,"‹ Kitty

Mary Hall
christening:
17 Nov 1813
parents:
William Hall,"‹ Kitty Hall

Thomas Hall
christening:
19 Feb 1808
parents:
William Hall,"‹ Kitty

William Hall
christening:
12 Mar 1806
parents:
William Hall,"‹ Kitty

George Hall
christening:
31 Jan 1816
parents:
William Hall,"‹ Kitty

Harriot Ann Hall
christening:
25 Jun 1809
parents:
William Hall,"‹ Kitty

Elizth. Hall
christening:
24 Nov 1811
parents:
William Hall,"‹ Catherina

Kitty died:
Kitty Hall
Parish Of Halesowen,"‹ Salop Co.,"‹ England
residence:
Hill
birth:
1780
burial:
27 Dec 1816

Susannah who was living with William and mother of Harriet never married Willam hence the reason why I could never find any marriage entry and this information gives us the evidence:

HALESOWEN,"‹WORCESTER,"‹ENGLAND

Joseph Hall Jones
christening:
29 Oct 1820
parents:
Susanna Jones

Kitty Jones
christening:
18 Apr 1824
parents:
Susanna Jones

Eliza Jones
christening:
17 Dec 1821
parents:
Susan Jones

Harriet Jones
christening:
08 Mar 1826
parents:
Susanna Jones

John Hall
christening:
17 Feb 1828
parents:
William Hall,"‹ Susanna Hall

On the census returns
1841
Halesowen, Shropshire
William Hall age 60, born in County
Susannah Hall age 50, born in County
Kitty Hall age 17, born in County
Harriot Hall age 13, born in County
John Hall age 13, born in County
Source Citation: Class: HO107; Piece: 908; Book: 5; Civil Parish: Hales Owen; County: Shropshire; Enumeration District: 13; Folio: 6; Page: 7; Line: 22; GSU roll: 474583.

1851
Halesowen, Worcestershire
Sushannah Hall age 66, born Halesowen (widow)
Caroline Hall daughter, age 24, born Halesowen
Harriett Hall daughter, age 22, born Halesowen
Joseph Hall Grandson, age 3, born Halesowen
William Hall Grandson, age 1, born Halesowen
Eliza Male Granddaughter, age 12, born Halesowen
Sarah Male Granddaughter, age 11, born Halesowen
Source Citation: Class: HO107; Piece: 2034; Folio: 203; Page: 6; GSU roll: 87441.

Joseph Hall above was the son of William Hadley & Harriet prior to their marriage and also my direct ancestor George was also born out of wedlock:

HALESOWEN,"‹WORCESTER,"‹ENGLAND
Joseph Hadley Hall
christening:
09 Jan 1850
parents:
Harriet Hall

George Hall
christening:
07 Jul 1851
parents:
Harriet Hall

I couldn't find any Bapt entry for William Hall born 1850 but is it possible this was George and maybe William was also used ??

The other two Granddaughters mentioned I found their Bapts:

HALESOWEN,"‹WORCESTER,"‹ENGLAND
Sarah Male
christening:
01 May 1840
parents:
Henry Male,"‹ Mary

Eliza Male
christening:
11 Nov 1838
parents:
Henry Male,"‹ Mary

Marriage entry for Henry & Mary:

Mary Jones
marriage:
St. Thomas,"‹ Dudley,"‹ Worcester,"‹ England
02 Sep 1838
parents:
Isaac Jones
spouse:
Henry Male
parents:
Nehemiah Male

This must mean Susannah married Isaac Jones who must have died young and she then lived out of wedlock with William Hall (abt 10 years her senior).

My question is does this make sense, please say yes or I'll cry

Can anyone find out what the maiden name of Susannah was who married Isaac Jones.

Thanks for your time reading all this and I hope it makes sense.

I can add a lot more names on the Black country Connections if this information is ok.

Regards
Adrian

Were they in Long lane on the census..

Yes on the 1841, 1851 & 1861 census returns all living in Long Lane (William had died by the 1851 census) and Susannah's place of birth given Halesowen and Illey ? on the 1861 census.

I can't find a suitable marriage for Susannah to a Jones and if her daughters marriage information is correct Isaac Jones ????? :?

I did find one Bapts that seem to fit but no others which is strange considering there was Mary who married Henry Male:

HALESOWEN,"‹WORCESTER,"‹ENGLAND
William Jones
christening:
29 Oct 1809
parents:
Isaac Jones,"‹ Susanna

All the information I've obtained on the Bapts etc are from the IGI which I know from experience you need to treat with caution.

This is the exciting part I think Harriet Hall was Bapt under her mothers name only because her mother hadn't married William Hall:
Halesowen, Worcetershire
Harriet Jones
christening:
08 Mar 1826
parents:
Susanna Jones

This fits well because we also have Harriets sister Kitty or Caroline and she's a witness on Harriet's marriage to William Hadley.

I know it's complicated but it seems to be at last coming together honest  .

I need all your expert help to bring this together and I'm convinced we can crack this.
