New User Jeffery Seow (Simkin, Bower, Smethurst, Nash)

Post by jefferyseow »

My father's mother was Margaret Gwendoline SIMKIN. She was born 15 JUL 1911 in West Derby Vol 8b Page 982, and died 6 FEB 1970 in Singapore. She was the daughter of Henry SIMKIN and Margaret-Hetty BOWER. Margaret Gwendoline SIMKIN married Duke Sieu-Jin SEOW (Duke was his name and not a title) 5 FEB 1932, son of Poh-Leng SEOW and Lilian Luck-Neo TAN. Duke Sieu-Jin SEOW was born 23 JAN 1907 in Singapore, and died 13 JUL 1958 in Singapore.

I have no information on Henry SIMKIN (no birthdate, death date and nothing on his ancestry).

Margaret-Hetty BOWER was born 9 AUG 1889 in Births Registered In July,August And September 1889: District Of West Derby,Vol 8b,Page 562, was christened 3 DEC 1889 in Saint Silas,Liverpool,Lancashire,England, and died 10 JUN 1972 in England. She was the daughter of John-Stanway BOWER and Jessie SMETHURST.

John-Stanway BOWER was born 1845 in Bebington,Cheshire,England, and died SEP 1909 in West Derby. I know nothing about his ancestry.

Jessie SMETHURST was christened 2 OCT 1848 in Saint Peter,Liverpool,Lancashire,England, died JUN 1893 in Lancashire. She was the daughter of Samuel Thompson SMETHURST and Margaret M. C. NASH.

Samuel Thompson SMETHURST married Margaret M. C. NASH 11 MAR 1838 in Saint Nicholas,Liverpool,Lancashire,England [IGI Individual Record FamilySearchâ„¢ International Genealogical Index v5.0 British Isles].

I don't know when either of them were born, or died, and I know nothing about their ancestry.

I am hoping someone who might have answers for me will see this and get in touch.

Cheers.

Hi Jeffery welcome to the forum
A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.
