Looking for help in identifying an ancestor's parents.
She was born Mary Brammer (Bramer) in 1819/1820.
I have identified 2 possibles:
1. Baptised 1 Sep 1820 St Johns Longton. Mother Lydia.
2. Baptised 20 Feb 1819 St Johns Longton. Parents Charles/Sarah.
She married John Hudson 21 Sep 1835 Armitage. She died Oct 1861 Armitage aged 42 years.
In the Censuses 1841/51/61 (Armitage/Handsacre) she was shown as Mary Hudson age 20/30/40 - this would suggest she was born 1820/21, however her age at death would suggest she would possibly have been born 1818/19.
Anybody able to advise how I can determine which of the parents is correct?
Another problem I have (may not belong in this thread) is her Husband died between 1851-61 but I cannot find his death. My research would suggest he died in Yorkshire (Railway Worker) but there are literally 100s of possibilities. Are there any Staffs Records which may show where her husband died?.

This section is really for requests for physical look ups in the Registry archives and not for online lookups and advice so I've copied this topic to the General Discussion section.
I shall archive the item here in a week or so's time.

I found a conviction at Stafford Archives for a John Hudson of Armitage, for attempting to take fish by angling in a stream in Pipe Ridware. where John Newton Lane had a private right of fishery.
