" Private William Dodman b. 1842 " , son of James Dodman b. 1821 & Sophia Mitchell b. 1829.
My Question - was William involved in the Crimean War & what battles was he involved in , if any?

Re: Private William Dodman b.1842
Hi
If he was born in 1842 then he was too young for the Crimean War (1853-1856)
Is it a different one to this one that MArk found: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=13253&p=149599#p149599 that he signed-up in 1860 and "He received a Silver Me[d]al for good conduct and long service.
Apart from some stints in Ireland he spend all his time around London."
