Re: Edna Hollies - b 1843-Mother Sarah Taylor
Okay - It's all a bit up in the air at the moment but I have a Sarah Taylor being christened at St Thomas Church Dudley on 24 Oct 1802
Father = Joseph Taylor, Mother = Hannah
This could well be Hannah Westbury b 1777 and Joseph Taylor b 1774 who were married in St Thomas Church and lived in Windmill End, Netherton.
On the 1851 Census, Sarah Hollies has been widowed and is also living in Windmill End, Netherton with her children.
Timothy 27
Mary 16
Hannah 13
Sarah 10 and
Edna 8
Next door to them is Joseph Taylor 77 and Hannah Taylor 74 (plus a lodger), which I'm sure are her parents and ties in with the infomation above.
Next door again is William and Silvia Taylor who are here on BCC http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... lor-Family
and next door to them is Robert and Sarah Taylor who are here on BCC http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... lor-Family
My next guess is that Robert could well be Joseph's brother making Sarah and William cousins.... whadya think

Do you have any of these Marriages or Baptisms which connect BCB. Even a burial for one of them may glean some more information

Re: Edna Hollies - b 1843-Mother Sarah Taylor
I'm working on it Linell. I don't have anything yet apart from Sarah's Christening at St Thomas's. I just had one of those moments last night when I put 2 and 2 together and came up with lots more than I bargained for
It's all presumption at the moment but I'm sure that there's a connection.

Just an educated hunch NL... They're all living next to each other in Windmill End, Netherton and they're all Nail Makers. My other Taylor line were all Nail Makers too and lived next door to each other in Griffin Street Netherton. I'll spend some time looking for the definite links.

This might seem like a ridiculous question to seasoned genealogists, but where can I get hold of or see the Parish Records for St Thomas's church in Dudley... are they online or available to purchase as a CD or fiche? I live up in the Lakes so it's not easy or cost effective to keep coming 240 miles down the M6 every time I find a new link to research
