Noah Bache and Louisa Matthews

Post by nailer2011 »

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... che-Family

Hi,
The above link shows the great difference in age between Noah and his second wife, Louisa, but my research has revealed that the 'tabloid' press mentality was evident at the time. The Worcestershire Chronicle and Provincial Railway Gazette reported their marriage in its issue of 13 December 1848 under the heading 'Extraordinary'. The report refers to n 18 year old lass (Louisa) being led to the alter in Rowley Regis Church by her 73 year old Uncle (Noah). However, while the report includes best wishes for their marriage, it pointedly adds that the union was the subject of public merriment :!:

I am pleased to see that their union endured and lasted long enough to produce at least three children!!!

Jan,

I have not been following up this line but, from the information on BCC, it certainly looks likely that Louise is the daughter of Mary Ann Bache (thus the niece of Noah). Thus Noah (1776) and Richard (1781) would be brothers and the sons of Joseph (1730) .

Jan there's a Richard Bache Renting a Pew in Cradley Baptist Church 1822 - 1825. If he was a Baptist there won't be a Baptism. Also found a Richard Bache circa 1750 a Locksmith in Old Swinford?

Also found in the Baptist Register a John Bache lived Cradley same time period, does this help? Only four Bache's listed in there over 60 years so chances are they are connected, a Wm lived in Old Hill a Nany Bache, from Parkside Cradley, think that is a man, probably a nick name, and a Betty Bache from Mushroom, that is all of them, all circa 1790 - 1825.
