I am researching my husbands family - I have hit a brick wall with his 3rd great grandmother and I am on a deadline. His dad retires in May and I would like to present him with a poster with 4 generations back complete - this lady is the final piece in the puzzle. The Hempsey/Hampsey are an Irish family, living in County Derry, parish Dunboe, town Articlave. I don't know her name however her husband was James Hampsey and I can place him in Articlave in 1859. Her son William Hampsey born about 1847. His first marriage was to Mary Jane Lawson in 1876, and his second marriage to Elizabeth McCready in 1886.

All i can find at the moment is a Daughter of a james Hampsey marrying

Margaret Hampsey Born 1844 marrying a Alexander Ardbuckle in Derry.
