Post by expat66 »

Thanks to RF we have this marriage ...

7 Nov 1875 St. James` Church, Dudley
John Goodman, 21, bachelor, resident Dudley, father Henry Goodman, miner
Ann Maria Walters, 20, spinster, resident Dudley, father Thomas Walters, nailer
Both signed `the mark of`
witnesses William Smith & Lucy Smith

This couple are on BCC here..
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =504314192

I am trying to work out if Ann Maria's father is one of the Thomas Walters already on BCC.
I don't think he is.... but wanted a second opinion.

I think Ann Maria's family may be this one on the 1861 census and I don't think any of them are on BCC?

179, Stoney Park, Sedgeley
Thomas Walters , 49, hd, married, nailer
Hannah, 48, wife, nailer
John, 26, son, unmarried, nailer
David, 24, son, unmarried, nailer
Cornelius, 17, unmarried, puddler
Joseph, 15, labourer
George, 12, labourer
Hannah, 9
Thomas, 7
Ann, 5, all born Sedgeley

Also on 1851 census
Brick Kiln St, Sedgley, Staffordshire, England
Thomas Walters, 40, hd, married, nailmaker
Hannah, 38, wife, nailmaker
John, 16, nailmaker
David, 14, nailmaker
Sarah,12, nailmaker
Eliza,10, scholar
Cornelius,7,
Joseph,5,
George,2,
Hannah, 3months.. all born Sedgeley

Any thoughts?
Thanks
